Officially, LTE will operate on the 800-900MHz frequency, same as Verizon. The difference is, and is what Sprint is trying to accomplish, is to have one device have capablilities of all three of their technologies. Including Wimax and CDMA. This allows the users phone to transistion from certain frequencies, much like a revolving door. When the customer is outside, they will use Wimax, indoors, they might transistion to CDMA (as 3G service) and finally, LTE.
