Norfolk Southern Executive Train - Asheville, NC 11-12-11

The Norfolk Southern office car special came into Asheville this Saturday. The train came down the river line from Tennessee. It was chartered by the Lexington Group, a group of historical railroad authors, journalists, and historians, who came to Asheville for a buffet lunch. The train returned to Tennessee afterwards. Here, we see the train crossing Bilmore Avenue and returning into the yard after turning around on the Y.

Best video of this train so far. In my opinion, 4270, 4276, 4275, and 4271 are some of the nicest locomotives out there. I'm working on a prototypical model of 4270 because Athearn just can't seem to get it right.

Awesome catch dude. CP has one of these with 2 old F units and a GP38 with their first paint scheem. The one thats writtin in cusive writing. I have never seen it but I want to catch it someday
