  • OMG!! She really does sound like Patti LaBelle, SHE's BEEN STUDYING HER!! It's haunting to hear this style of singing from anyone other than Patti!! Patti has a lot more voice control though, Patti would have bent note at 4:48 in half and put it back together again! She would have taken it from the depts of HELL to the highest mountain in HEAVEN! Good job though!

  • mind you she is an alto and Patti is a soprano soooooo patti does have the upper hand

  • i love this song.she do sound like pattie

  • i hope it really blesses u

  • can somebody give the choir an amen! They sound really great!

    thank u

  • I wish I could see this video. Is Lorraine also a member of Vision?

  • I love this whole CD, but I misplaced it somewhere :(

  • Also, the night we recorded this was YEARS after Lorraine originally did the song with the choir and she had a lil trouble hitting her usual "top" notes so she altered some of her musical choices. Usually, she would have been hitting HIGH G's ABOVE high C with NOOOO Problems! lolbut we didn't wanna overdub her so we let it stand as is(they should hear Bishop Grave's 'sermonette' right b4 this too...which is y the lady is screaming in the background at the beginning...lol) Great nite!

  • WOW I am really surprised to find this posted on here. that's actually me on the organ for this recording lol I must say you're right Lorraine is an Alto but has always sounded eerily like Patti (without really "trying" to imitate her, it's just the way she has always sung).
