  • watching this video brought me so much comfort at a the time of the passing of my own father last Friday... I am Haitian and i always have had a profound love and respect for the mother land i was in search of the right way to mourn my dad who was larger than life he would have much appreciated a traditional African burial .... thank you so much for posting this video peace and blessing to all

  • look , i really have no time for stupid self absorbed americans who think the world revolves around their very limited experience of the rest of this planet. once again AFRICA IS A CONTINENT .. get it.? next.....

  • Once again spoken like a complete idoit. Do not presume to make assumptions... Aside of a computer screen, I am definitely sure, in real life, you, are exactly the sort, I do not consort with and that is my last remark to you.

  • this is precisely why americans are the most hated people on planet earth.. what sort of answer is that ? do you think you are the only people out there? so the only intelligent africans are the ones who kiss your ass?. that was a typical answer and as i said only a non african would ask a question like that.. get over yourself yank and as for showcasing my culture, go and get yourself a culture to showcase and then talk you fool, you are the ones wasting opportunity out there . moron..

  • What do you mean if you are an African you dont ask such questions? Questions are asked because the person is curious, interested or simply does not know. Just what is that statement suppose to mean. Another reason why Africans like you (not most, as we have intelligient, sophiticated Africans around) are looked down on. You cant answer a question without insulting someone first. You get a chance to showcase your culture and instead, like a fool, you wasted the opportunity.

  • however, this is what pertains to yorubas the other cultures have their own cultural traditions we are all independant cultures in one country.

  • if you are an african you dont ask such questions!!. in yoruba land when you pass and your children are already adults with their own children you dont wear black . you celebrate life, when my father died we wore PINK.. because all of us where grown ups..but when a child dies. we wear black to mourn the child as the parents are still living and the child has not grown to adulthood.. and the yorubas do not attend the buriel of their children as you are not supposed to bury your child..

  • that was my beloved grandfather. Rest in Peace!!!!

  • It seems strange, but it is considered normal, also why we wear white for funerals instead of black. to celebrate the dead's life.

  • njidechu pls learn hw to make constructive comments... dnt depise my sweet bini like dat hun! mind ur language, wateva conspired b/w u and ur husband aint gat nuffin to do wit my sweet bini pple... bini goooooooooo
