This is an old video I did for Billy Ray in November of 2007....So sorry to get the news today that he has passed away....R.I.P. Billy Ray....He will be missed by all of us....

My good buddy BillyRay said he wanted ME to do some
George Jones so I thought I'd do this one that George sang! So, here it is! Please be kind! I couldn't do the talking part so I sang it:)

"He Stopped Loving Her Today" is a song by country music artist George Jones that has been named in some surveys as the greatest country song of all time.[citation needed] It was a single on the album "I Am What I Am". Released in 1980, the song was Jones's first #1 single in six years. The melancholy song was written by Bobby Braddock and Curly Putman.

  • Great job Jane. :) You know, it's funny, but sometimes when I hear one of these old classics, the first person who pops into my mind is BillyRay. I don't know how George Jones would feel about that, but it's true. :)

  • I know what you mean Ed!!! Me too!! I will always remember BillyRay!

  • I love this song

and you have a wonderful voice

at first I was like....this would never work with a girls voice

  • Hi Jane wow that is a beautiful version of one of the most beautiful country songs ever wrote stunning performance I am putting your cover on my favourite list thank you from Phil .

  • @Teledude1972 ,, I have no idea why! We are going from the high end of singing and song writing talent with George Jones to close to the lowest end talent with Billy Ray. If he could take five minutes away from looking in the mirror and being hung up on himself, I'm sure he would even tell you that he's a far cry from the talent in George Jones.

  • I'm moved. It totally touchs my heart! :)

  • Wow, U are awesome! Great job!
