*narrator*
it was well into the night - or perhaps morning - before crissy was fast asleep. he looked down at the girl in his arms and slowly admired the way she looked while she slept. he placed a gentle kiss on her forehead before loosening his grip around her relaxed and sleepy body. he slowly laid her head against her pillow and pulled her blanket over her shoulder. crissy smiled in her slumber and snuggled into the warmth surrounding her. joe smiled and got down to his knees to get within eye level of his girlfriend. yes, that's what she was now. she was his girl.
"i dont know what you did to me crissy. but i would have never thought i'd be the type of guy to feel this way. you are one extraordinary girl. and i'm
glad i've fallen in love with a girl like you." he caressed her cheek as he spoke to her unconscious figure. he sighed happily and quietly turned around
to leave the room, but not before slipping the photo of crissy they discussed earlier into his jacket pocket. he tip toed out of the room and out of the house in easy success. once he was out into the cold night, he stuffed his hands into his jeans' pockets and slowly took his walk home. the whole time; happily thinking only of crissy.
the next morning crissy woke up to the birds chirping and the sun shining brightly on her face. she fluttered her eyes open and rolled onto her back as she stretched. she couldnt help but notice how the whole morning felt so... cliche. but she loved it. she loved waking up with a smile on her face like some cheesy romantic film. she loved the fact that she now had a boyfriend to gush over. and she loved the fact that this said boyfriend loved her - for who she really was. yes, crissy just loved the cliche of it all. because cliches are usually pretty perfect. which is exactly the way crissy felt. she felt perfect.
she grabbed her phone off her side table the second she heard it beep. she opened the text she received and ran to her window, looking down at the pavement just in front of the house she now considered her home. she waved enthusiastically upon setting her eyes on joe leaning against his car which stood parked on the pavement. he waved back and motioned for her to hurry down. she nodded and showed him a peace sign - signalling to allow her 2 minutes. he blew her a kiss in response. which was very unlike joe of him but hey, guess he really isnt the same old joe anymore.
everyone was unusually taking more notice to crissy as she walked down the hallways that morning. then she realised that they werent exactly noticing her. they were more like noticing the piece man candy that she proudly but shyly had on her arm. they were a thing now. and the whole school was the first to know.
"by the way.." she heard joe whisper into her ear as they turned a corner and reached crissy's first class of the day.
"i forgot to ask you something." she looked up at him - signaling him to continue. he smiled as he spoke the next few words and a sparkle was evident in his eyes.
"will you be my girlfriend?" her cheeks began to burn and her smile was just unstoppable. she nodded, finding it hard to speak without squealing. he laughed and placed a wet kiss on her cheek.
"see you after class girlfriend." he winked and walked away to his class. she bit her lip and went to class before the bell rang. yupp, everything was perfect.
