Edith Jackie Toney, 72, Johnson City, passed away, Monday, December 12, 2011, at Asbury Place Johnson City. A life-long native of Washington County, she was the daughter of the late Harvey and Lola Roberts Kinnard. Ms. Toney was a member of the Apolstolic Christian Church. She loved to listen and sing gospel and country music. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a son, Donald Puckett; brother, Harold Kinnard, and sister, Marie Calvert Black.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Donna and Wayne Hensley, Kingsport; son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Debra Hodges, Church Hill; daughter-in-law, Samantha Puckett, FL; three grandchildren; Brittany Stephens, Haley Puckett and Alex Hensley; sisters and brothers-in-law, Martha and Lanny Slagle, Johnson City, and Betty and Ted Moffett, FL; brother and sister-in-law, Kenneth and Lyrecia Kinnard, Stoney Creek; and special friend, David Toney. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Celebration of Life Service for Edith Jackie Toney will be conducted at 7:00 PM, Thursday, December 15, 2011 in the Sunrise Chapel of Tetrick Funeral Services, with Reverend Edward Davis officiating. The family will receive friends Thursday from 5:00PM till the service hour in the funeral home chapel.
