4 MOMENTOS for piano was conceived by Marlos Nobre in 1977 as his Opus 44 in four parts: 1) Luminoso; 2) Lírico; 3) Sarcástico; 4) Dramático. The world premiere of the first version was given by the composer himself on November 22, 1978 at the Auditorium of the Juan March Foundation in Madrid, Spain. Since then the composer was not satisfied with this first version and the work remains in manuscript waiting the final writing by Marlos Nobre. It was the same procedure such as other piano works by Nobre: the SONATA BREVE, the SONATA ON A THEME BY BARTOK and the FOURTH CICLO NORDESTINO. The present video is one of the versions of this work, played by the composer himself at the International Festival VIRTUOSI at the Santa Isabel Theatre in Recife, Pernambuco,on December 2008. The composer gave this present version anticipating the final version which is on the way, at the end of the present year of 2011.
