  • at least burbot aren't as bad as the asian carp or snakeheads... burbot are hardly an invasive species compared to those fish.

  • Restitution and lifetime loss of hunting and fishing? I say give them a huge fine and a few years in jail.

  • i love these fish, but i can see how having them illegally could cause problems, there very voracious predators. some butt-holes introduced yellow perch in the area i live in, they are 100% a non-native fish, now, the fish have taken over almost 70 percent of lakes here....really shows how delicate an eco system is. but they do taste good if you wanna put in the effort, and we have an unlimited quota, so going home with a million is okay, witch i encourage completely,
