What would happen if you stuffed the little hole?

I love it! It sounds like an old lister engine too. How much travel is in that valve? I wonder if you could hook that up to a small driveshaft and flywheel to (a) regulate the timing and (b) generate a few volts?

That is one heck of a nice looking set up you have there. Very good. Yes if you slow the stroke a bit you will definitly get even more water.
But it looks like it is doing pretty good even with such a short stroke. The strokes on my 2 inch ram are about a second apart and that looks like it is the maximum for my set up. I am amazed at the flow you are getting with such a short stroke.....wow. You have an excellent design I think.
Thanks for the comments. Yes, the strokes are faster than what I like and normally set for my rams which is same as you around 1 beat per second. The reason is the supply line is not yet fully done so I set it to shorter strokes so as not to use up the water in the drive tank. Once fixed I estimate the output to double. It will be set to 1 beat per second.
