Biting Flies in the parlour are a big problem at this time of year . If i don't spray the cows kick the units of faster than i can put them on. It's horrible stuff to use . Anybody got a better solution to fly control in the parlour ?
Cracking vid. I feel your pain, we have the same problem. got a spray paint gun filled with fly spray linked up to an air compressor. totally fill the parlour with spray, not good for ma lungs but it does work!
There is a predatory wasp, tiny, not bigger than a small ant when hatched that can be spread around the parlor corners, inramp and anywhere there's a lot of manure
from Spaulding Labs Like the other writer says, it takes a while to work. I've used it. Plus sticky paper traps, both non toxic
have you tried something like swish flie and parasite pour on treatment, works brillaint with the flies we apply in june and done see any for the rest of the summer on our heard. Another method to stopping the flies entering the parlour is to rig up a piece of hose pipe above the parlour doors with holes in the bottom, which pours water in a slow stream over the cows back as they walk through, thatat works best if your off a water meter.
There is a fly predator you can get but you have to spread them over the manure pile. Not sure if it will work in your case, but I'm sure it would. They sell it in the U.S.A. What they do is eat the fly larvae befor the fly can mature. It can take a month before it works. Not sure what its called. I see it all the time in the horse magazine. Try you tube it.

Put fan in your parlour... Flies do not like a "current"... We use big ass fans so there is always turbulence

in our parlor we had a device that worked pretty well. It is a lamp that attracts insects, and scorched with electricity
