Chinese Exchange

The University of Maryland has a long-standing partnership with Prince George's Public Schools and in particular, Paint Branch Elementary. PBES is the elementary school closest to UMD.

On January 20, 2011, a group of Chinese students from the Nankai University Elementary School visited Paint Branch as part of a tour of Washington, D.C. PBES students had already visited Nankai. The University of Maryland's Confucius Institute played an integral part in making these reciprocal visits happen.
