i ment by missing a gear when u use the shifter whish is attached to the steering wheel, sometimes the shift the gear so late the the gage of the engine goes on the red line , that's what i mean by missing a gear

It's going to take a LOT MORE MODS to beat a Stock LS3 Vette. Also, some stock LS3 Vette's are running 11.7, now that they are broken in. Do a search on YouTube.

@alagy A. if you mean hit the rev limiter then You can if you hold it in gear.

But if you mean at the start of this clip when the needles hit 7000RPM? it's just a fancy starting display where all the dails do a full sweep standard in most modern cars

The srt8 will need many more mods. I know someone that had one same mods but borla exhaust vs my friends ls6 03 vette and pretty much same results.

Yeah, they made the response a little quicker for the 08' vettes but, there's still a lag like you said. I test drove one. If you hit the paddlet at the right rpm the car hauls ass though. There's a tuner kit for the tranny from RPMmotorsports

I think that's the right website? Anyway, a lot of people are combining this tune with custom 3.15 and 3.42 gears. They call it the attack package. That must be incredible. I'd love to go for a ride in one.

why compare a charger to a corvette? ya i know 2 seaters and coupes like pickin on full size sedans cuz they barely win then brag bout how they pulled 1/2 car length on a hemi. but in case u guys forgot, mopar does make a challenger? and a viper? all i gotta say is 6.4L hemi. yo we should race our chargers/challys against trailblazer ss and shit bro they have an ls2.

hows the vette owner gonna complain about the transmision shift? u do realize ur racing a car thats not even considered a sports car, matted with a mercedes tranny? ur vette is lighter, has a bigger block, and has every advantage in the drive train ( gears, transmission ect.... if u want a fair race power to weight wise, compare a c5 corvette to a srt8 CHALLENGER. the vette will still have advantage of transmissions and gears and will get shat upon.

LoL at this comment, not because it's kinda funny, but because both engines should hit the ground at the same time, weight doesn't matter, gravity accelerates the same regardless. nice try tho....

And in no way will a mildly modded srt-8 300 ever run down an 08 and up vette

I almost got an srt-8 because they are badass and can run super low 13's and high 12's factory and are boats....not to mention don't come with too big of a price tag. Got the vette and don't regret it.

What a dumb video. First you did not miss a gear in the first race...The SRT8 would've jumped ahead if you did. AND the second race was dumb because you honked about as fast as possible and jumped out wayyy before the SRT8. Post a real race.
