why would the brain need to "handle" an experience in an organism for which life has lost its use? Given that the body is expiring, theres no need to give it a "pep" talk after handing it its final "pink slip", kick it in the teeth and boot it out the door! Right? Sorry, there are several doctors and scientists who are studying this phenomenon. Given the stress that the body goes through in the centrifuge,its just as valid to say the individual is approaching a near death condition.

lol pen and teller fails. How do you explain how most of nde experiencers have very similar experiences and how do you explain how the nde people know exactly what was going on in surgery while they were dead/

Agreed. I suggest all materialists to see the quantum eraser experiment, ' the experiment that debunked materialism', and then have them explain how the results of this experiment fit their preconceptions of materialism :)

@kirby4d It doesn't account for so many things. How come people can recall whats going on around them? They literally float over there bodies and accurately recall conversation as well as tools used in surgery. 30 marevelous seconds doesn't explain how full consciousness is taking place, in some cases even more vivid than in normal life. In dreams you don't even know your dreaming, these people know they are dead and have full consciousness.
