Thank you for posting.. This song was very popular in the year of 2543-44 or 2000 2001. The song is actually Mortocye Hang which Hang is a term meaning old not so great . The North east of Thailand Isarn does have big influence from Laos as yes previous years ago it was Laos. Food Language clothing etc is very similar. Different parts of Isarn speak darn Lao. Sakon Nakhon, Nong Khai Mukdahan pretty much speak Lao and also national langauge of Thailand which is Thai Norheast is Thailand not laos

it's Thai for sure because even the subtitles for the lyrics are written in Thai not Laos. The Thai don't consider Isaan people as Laos they consider them Thai with ethnic roots to Laos. The police uniform is Thai, and you can see the Thai flag iN the video clip at 3:16, which is in front of a Thai school. :) Trust me, i'm Isaan.
