Recently Bill Number SB 670 has been passed in California which outlaws Suction Dredging until an EPA study is completed. This bill is based upon the assumption that Suction Dredging destroys fish habitat. However, the opposite is true. Suction Dredging provides ideal deep hole fish habitat by aerating gravels locked by silting from damming. Take a closer look, fish population is benefited by suction dredging.

  • Once again the 'green' movement get their way.... Our fossicking practices here in Australia are also always constantly under threat by crazy 'greenies', so we enjoy it whilst we still can. Good luck in continuing to lobby for freedom of amateur fossicking :-)
