Daniel required total care and nonverbal and yet his school district, would not allow his mom to ask ANY QUESTIONS to his 1-on-1 aide/teacher/staff regarding his 2.5 hr at school, even when he got hurt at school. His mom was not allowed to stay in the school office even after she was signed in. They would not let his mom to check up on her own son! Based from watch little D's mom observed, his sp ed do sit around watching TV alots doing non-productive learning!

You are not alone being denied of a Free Appropriate Public Education. The system is designed for the educators and their professionals to document the student's weakness; therefore, they can write them off. All they wanted to do is to have IEP meetings to intimidated the parents without resolving any issues. Parents/student votes out weighted by school staff! :(
