You always make terrific videos, Dave. And, of course, the James Horner track is certainly a great choice. Thank you very much for dedicating this to me.....er....oh...oh, wait....no...that Serg dude again?! Fine. Great. But, just so you know, I WILL be performing on The Mairzy Doates tugboat out of Dredge Harbor in Minnesota, giving an electrifying symposium on the history of water-utility rates.

Way cool, Dave! Have you been on the ship before? It's so impressive in person! You rock, man - thank you so much!

@WWEfan9999123 Thanks, but look @ what that "faster in speed" got her... a resting place on the bottom of the ocean floor.

My mother came to Canada as a war bride aboard the Queen Mary in August 1946. I asked her for details but the main thing she remembered was how soft and tasty the dinner rolls were!

@23Daant SS United States is a splendid ship, born 20 years too late, It's real "reason d'etre" maybe was to have a superfast troop transport in case of war, having Queen Mary and Queen Elizabeth proved themselves more useful than a fleet of dreadnoughts in WWII. United States engines are battleship class power capable, real speed (secret) probably unmatchable by anything afloat. Unfortunately it was built fire-proof and is so full of asbestos that to save it should be demolished and rebuild

@SuperTitanicfreak i wouldnt say Queen Mary is the greatest ship of all time, i think that title is better held by the R.M.S Titanic, no ship is more famous or more luxurious than her.

If we can save the RMS Queen Mary, it is nearly criminal not to save the the SS United States. Save her and spread the word!
Thank you for sharing this story, it brought a smile to my face :-)

Probably the most successful liner anytime, still in use! even if a touristic attraction, ah ah there's even a funny "english" village built nearby for shopping! not so much to see inside the ship, even the low-pressure turbines has been removed and only the "small" (not really so small) are left to see.
Nothing to do with ugly Titanic, the interiors of Queen Mary were a real masterpiece of elegance while those of Titanic were old-fashioned even for the age and of vulgar bad taste.
