This video deals with the dangers of working near overhead and underground powerlines. Dramatic footage and computer animation show what can happen if you or someone on your job site accidentally contacts an energized powerline.

  • Thanks for sharing this!

  • Actually, the potential difference betwen the one meter steps will be far less than the resistance of your soles.

  • I can't believe how useful this is

  • Thank you for uploading this, we had a A B C line Arc in our backyard, good thing I found this, if I did't and I was outside during the arching, it will not look good, thank you

  • Wow. Very nice! Didn't know that, thanks for the video!

  • good video

  • This video is not 100% right. The bird for example, if it touches two different wires, thats not a a path to ground. Thats a difference in potential (voltage) which causes the current to pass through the heart and kill it. Its not the volts that kill, its the amperes.

  • a large bird touching 2 of the lines in 3-phase transmission lines doesn't create a path to the ground but I guess it was easier to explain it that way

  • very useful info

  • i love the Sailor Moon transformation music at 0:55
