Tim Burton's Batman in my opinion is the definitive version, even more so then Nolan's movies. Jack Nicholson was born to play The Joker and is actually funny, unlike Heath Ledger's Joker who just wasn't. At the end of the day The Joker is supposed to be funny and likes to have fun, but obviously in a deadly way, it's all in his name.

Great review. You should review Batman Returns too. Its hard for me to choose between this one and returns because I usually watch them both together so its really like one big movie to me.

@Psythr666 lol yeah, this movie was great for it's time for sure. Most people like the heath ledger joker more but the times are different and the characters are completely different.
still, when i watch this 1989 Burton movie I love the way they chose the each actor to play each specific character. They are all perfect for their roles. Particularly Kim Bassinger, I mean I cannot find anything proper to say, she is a true beauty and talent. Just like April O`Neal in the first TMNT movie. Bruce Wayne should have settled or atleast kept his relationship with Vicky Vale. There is no one he could have possibly found that is better than her.

Jack was 'ncred'ble as Joker but his Joker was more of an artistic and calmer maniac/gangster type whereas Leadger`s Joker is a total psychopathic, homicidal, genocidal, reckless, painless dirty bastard and a true criminal master level genius, which makes up a much proper and darker and much more dangerous Joker character if you ask me.

@HalflingShireFolk yeah that's right. Jack's joker is actually more of like a golden age comic Joker where as Ledger's is a completely new Joker. I don't remember a comic book before Ledger where Joker would cut peoples faces into a smiley. Maybe I just haven't read enough batman I don't know I just don't remember that happening. Feel free to subscribe if you haven't bro.

Keaton's version of the batman had the brooding attitude. It was a more artistic version of the character. Tim Burton successfully gave it the dark tone it needed. And yes, I couldn't agree more on Jack's Superb rendition of the Joker. Plus, I got the same eyebrows as Jack. Damn! Love the batwing!
