I'm looking at a book right now with this machine in it, odd thing is the headblock is set for oxide out in the book, can you reverse your headblock?

Thank you for providing the wow & flutter specs on this recorder, it is very good for a recorder of that vintage(1952), and compares with the Ampex recorders made at the same time...Friends, Lloyd.

the data I have comes from the service manual of this deck: wow & flutter (peak to peak, measured with EMT418): 0,1% at 15 IPS and 0,15% at 7,5 IPS. Those are the only data given in the manual.

Thank you for your comments, I would be interested to know if you have any spares for these machines as I need 2 thumb screws for the front, and at least 1 if not 2 amp covers, could you help?

Nice vintage Philips, what are the specifications on these decks regarding signal to noise ratio, wow/flutter, frequency response(how wide and flat), overload distortion rating?

Good questions, no answers at the moment, yesterday I found that there is no sound coming out of the amps, which is a shame, was looking forward to using it, I ordered the tech data and am awaiting it's delivery.

What a wonderful machine. When I was a kid I used to dub tape for transcription service on these machines. They ran at 60 IPS. Wow, this brings back memories.

These both are the 15ips machines, would love a 30ips version, would you know what the audio connectors in the back are called? I have been trying to buy some.
