Hey Youtubers. Here's a quick upload to check out my new Apogee One (I think it sounds fantastic!) A quick, easy groove in Gm that makes use of the three finger technique, and harmonics, really fun to play, and get into.

This is the beginnings of a bass/music lesson channel, so if any of you have any questions at all, leave them in the comment section, or a video response.

My signal chain for the gearheads:

Rosado Active Jazz Bass (Dimarzio pups, with EMG 2-band pre)

Monster Cable

Apogee One

Garageband

  • Awesome groove. Do you fret all of the harmonics with your pinky?

  • @totalxkaos Not all of them, how I fret them is as follows:

Over the "G," pinkie on the 5th fret so you get "D," and "G" as harmonics

Over the "D," pinkie on the 7th fret so you get "A," and "D" as harmonics

Over the "Bb," pinkie on the 7th fret, and pointed finger on the 5th fret so you get "A," and "G" as harmonics.

The harmonics are always only on the highest two strings. Hope this helps.

  • Pretty cool, I just clicked on your link on TalkBass. Nice work.
