Whats interesting is in 2008 the Russians did invade Georgia around the same time this game takes place.

Add Spinter Cell in there to that list as well.
These games were some of the first I ever played, and to this day, they are still my favorites. Newer games may have better graphics, but they don't have the "fun" factor that older games like Ghost Recon, Rainbow 6, Splinter Cell, etc have.

I really gotta hand it to Ubisoft, they couldn't have done a better job of fucking up the Rainbow 6 and Ghost Recon series. Those originals were two of the greatest, most realistic, tactical based shooters ever. I have great memories of playing those games onmy uncles PC, now the new console versions suck dick. What I would give for the original ghost recon with updated graphics and cooler AI animations...
