no its not, when you send a corvette to lingenfelter, they put lingenfelter emblems, and that di d not have them, that corvette still had the z06 emblems on it. unleess you show me somewhere in this video a part that shows the lingenfelter emblem, you are wrong.

The Z06 is definately the best for the money, but if you had the money go for the GT...and if u had even more money go for the Koenigsegg CCX or CCXR.

@ohioborn80: Back in 05 the Ford GT was faster than the Z06 almost around every track including the nurburgring. That was when Corvettes and Vipers didn't come with brembo brakes and the Ford GT did. The 07 and up Z06 does now have brembos and probably more enhancements as well, and has improved on certain previous lap times.

@robertrlude the Z06 are beast. The 12' GT500 is great with a set of tires. Have seen low 11s. Stock Z)6 have seen high 10s. Best bang for the buck GT500. With a 7k upgrade you can have 800hp. Still be under price of a ZO6.

The Ford GT was great in its day. But the ZO6 is faster stock to stock. No doubt. I have not drove a Ford GT but have driven a Z06.

@V8Supercar1 The cars are built for two totally different things. Boss with drag radials went 11.7. GT500 with drag radials went 11.1 in the 1/4 mile.

The Boss was specially designed for the track races. The new 2013 GT500 will have over 600hp. It is a drag/roll car. Which it does very very great.

What I don't understand why would you put a car that has no supercharger in the same light with ones who do and when they just do out run it here is no words to say nice going DODGE. I've seen what a Viper can do with a little help the other two wouldn't have a shoot.

@V8Supercar1 My mistake, typically they have videos of the GT500/Viper/Z06. I'm just saying that it's bullshit how they compare two cars that are nothing alike. Not even the Z06 and the GT500 are close to similar

I like Ford; they’ve done some cool stuff with their SVT division. I had a ’04 Cobra, and it was a great car; I loved what Ford did with that. Now I drive a C6/Z06. Seriously, is anyone really comparing the Ford (any model) to the 7L Z06? Have you driven a Z06 lately? (Or any of the cars you’re speaking of?) Post details of your ride. Then maybe we (you) can talk.

@dozertheREALpitbull I don't see your point. And I don't think you understand why the Ford GT exists. Having a car that's a be all, end all, and at the same time the fastest, is not always the designers main goal. If this was so, we would have production vehicles pushing 300 mph.

@65FASTBACKMAN: um I think you should check the video again. The GT500 is not in this video. This is the Ford GT. Not the Ford Shelby GT500. And honestly, I like motor trend and road track, but they are idiots if they try to compare a 4000 pound mustang to a 3000 pound Corvette.

Dude the video is about trying to compare the z06 and GT500 so yeah that's your answer right there, not only the video but all the magazines like Motor Trend and Road & Track that are always comparing the two cars to one another. No offense but you seem to be a poster who posts something before he even reads what is being said lol, because I explained the entire thing in my first post and considering I posted on this video, there are your answers lol
