It's not "fake". It's what's known as a promotional trailer. It was filmed by a development team to be used as a promotional material to try to get a studio interested. You go to a bunch of meetings, you submit stills and videos like this. That's how it works when you're shopping around for funding.

Since you haven't heard anything about the film entering production, odds are that it's been dropped. Sorry.

I really hope they dont make it. Im sorry my fellow hardcore hellsing fans, but i have a bad feeling that they'l ruin it, and alucard won't be the same without crispin freeman's voice. I think they should stick to the manga and anime, or make an anime movie perhaps?

I want to see this film, but Alucard must be in the movie, Hellsing is not Hellsing with out Alucard, Seras o Integra.

my god, if the producers ruin this by rating it a 12 or even a 15, I'm going to be royally pissed. Hellsing should stay in the X-rated catergory and should be true and sadistically bloody through and through.

OK but Guillermo del Toro as a director . As for Alucard honestly I don't think there is any well known actor that can pull it off .They would be better off with a complete unknown that has two or three characteristic of alucard. Very deep voice+ Very tall and lean is already almost a physical impossibility. Not to mention he must be young and slightly effeminate while having the air of command . This is the kind of character that can only exist in novels, comics and anime.
