One of the most hideous families on earth at the moment, one day everyone will know what this family gets up to , the evidence is allready available but hidden from the mass public. Andrew is a thick lazy womanizing oaf that hangs around with paedophiles and corrupt rich people and despite being wealthy likes using tax payers money to play golf around the world, under the pretence he is helping trade for the uk.

@jeanmunn What did he do to you?

@mc0558 Thank you for the complement , I also find your comments well written and sensible. I feel we sing from the same sheet with slightly different words. As i have said I feel the whole idea of the Royal family outdated and supports a outdated class system of inherited wealth and power that should have been confined to the history books of medieval England. I feel the French had the right idea. I admire the French in many ways they stand up for their rights and are proud of their country

@colcfc123 The more I look at them, the more I become a Republican too. At any rate, I find your tone and logic to be impeccable.

@mc0558 My anger over the Royals does not stem from lack of control over my life. In fact I am happy with my lot nice house, good job in the Education field nice family and stuff. Mine is not the politics of envy. I feel very strongly that the royals are outdated medieval in nature and in need of reform. be it the House of Windsor or not it has never been put to the vote. I am a Republican and my right to get rid of them has been ignored. That is my only beef.

@colcfc123 You seem to be looking for more control over your life. You're saying the very fact that you aren't consulted about having a Queen is what makes you resent her. I can understand that, but I don't think it is rational. Does the fact that you inherit your mother and father in itself make you resent them?Or because you can vote, do you like all politicians? Monarchy is simply a structure of government with advantages and disadvantages. But I also resent the awful rellys and hangers on.

@colcfc123 I haven't met William, only Harry. He is a nice down-to-earth young man. I don't work with the Windsor-Mountbattens but a different royal family. They pay me well and are very kind. My association doesn't give me any advantage in our discussion, except that I don't feel a "them and us" resentment; they are very ordinary people but richer, which doesn't mean they don't have money worries too. They may be on a higher scale, but worries are worries. And they are far less free than we are

@mc0558 Harry & William may well be nice guy's I have never met them but they come over well and give a personal touch to the royals like their late mother. As you rightly point out I have a " them us chip on my shoulder" the reason for this is because as I have said they are forced upon us! We are forced to pay for them and they are unelected ambassadors for the U.K. You have the advantage on me as you work closely with the royals and I have not and probably never will meet them. cont

@colcfc123 cont- You may be right. Britain has completely changed from the nation it was when I was a boy, and by and large, I think, it has changed for the better. As for the monarchy, I am not a great fan of politicians. You may remember that 15 years or so ago, the Australians had a plebiscite on the monarchy and voted to keep it--mostly because they dislike politicians too. So I think we should dump the "House of Windsor" and keep Elizabeth and her direct heirs as perpetual chiefs of state.

@colcfc123 It is a steak house just up the street from Gloucester Road station, by no means one of the expensive restaurants of London. Very ordinary but there was a bit of a party atmosphere because it was the owner's daughters 18th. In Dec. 68 I went on a cheap tour to Moscow with a 20 yr old kid who said he wanted to be US President. It was Bill Clinton. I have work that keeps me in contact with royalty all the time. You can afford to relax the "them-us" chip on your shoulder a bit.cont-
It's good to hear Prince Andrew speaking about his role. Thank you for this.

@jeanmunn I absolutely agree with you! But they will keep him in this role rather than admit that a member of the royal family is an absolute disgrace to the country.
