I recently played a little game with my wicked smart colleagues, Matthew Goldfarb and Re Perez.
Being a brand strategist, Re posed the challenge of summing up, in three words, what our brand represents. Each of us shared what we considered to be each other's three words.
As you can imagine, that's no easy feat. But it's certainly fun and thought provoking!
Since then, I've played the three word challenge with several of my friends, colleagues, fellow MasterMinders and clients
.
I love the exercise because it raises awareness of what people's perception are of you, versus your perception. And it forces you to think about whether or not that's an accurate reflection of you at your core.
I don't know about you, but I want my brand to fully represent my authentic, "dangerously me" self... not some made-up talking head.
Because the closer those two align, the easier it is to sell yourself.
I'd love for you to take the challenge and share with me what your three words are. They can be the three words you think of yourself... or be suggestions from your friends and colleagues.
And if you've got a moment, I'd love to hear your vote on the adjectives that have been used to describe me so far. Let's see how it lines up with what I believe them to be!
