Oh wow! This brings back so many memories! I used to live in Addis and then moved to Awassa when I was younger. I haven't seen pictures of the place for years . . . Did you guys stay at the Wabe Shibel hotel? Or did you stay at the Norweigan guest house down the lake a bit? My family and I lived in the Governer's house while he was in prison in the 90's. I miss Africa so much, and this literally brought tears to my eyes . . . thank you for sharing your memories with me.

Thank you for posting this! And for your "Addis in 4:30" video. We just got back from Ethiopia and took the same drivers on the same basic trip. <wink wink>. This is a great trip down memory lane! Congratulations to you, and thank you again for this! It will be wonderful to show our two children.

our son is adopted from Awassa and while we went to Addis, we never got to Awassa to see where he was from. thanks!!
