Abondan (Abonda, Abondant) is a rhythm from the Baoule-people from the Ivory Coast. It is probably a very old rhythm that was played when the King went out to ride (on the horse). The story goes that boys and girls danced in honour of the King. After that dance the King held a speech. Nowadays Abondan is danced in a circle.
