Spain has the world's 8th largest economy. Santander (2nd biggest bank in Europe) almost bought your ailing bank Wachovia yesterday. Spain is not a Latin American country but a European 1st world democracy. Spain has global well run multinational giants like Telefonica (worlds 3rd largest telco), Inditex (owner of Zara which replaced GAP as biggest fashion retailer in world), Repsol etc. I advise the trailer park rednecks to read the Economist instead of watching WWE wrestling.

I am from Spain, and it is a 1st world democracy, but our president sucks, not because he is authoritarian like presidents many presidents from South America, but because he is really stupid and he doesn't know HOW to run a country. He looks retarded.

Wow. How can you "Discover" an occupied land? All that means is that you didn't know it was there. Hunters from Siberia moved into the previously unoccupied land, and successfully settled there. We even discovered lots of countries before UK, for example Jamaica, which was named 'Santiago' before Great Britain decided to turn it into a British colony and name ir Jamaica. We discovered the majority of American continent 'cause Spain was the most advanced and powerful country in Europe during the 1490s , we used ships before any country in Europe, the famous 'Galleons'.

Spain with Columbus discovered America in 1492, they didn't believed that they had arrived to India but they arrived to another continent.
