Angel Heart Episode 1 part 1/3

A young Taiwanese assassin codenamed "Glass Heart" committed suicide by jumping off a building, and her heart was pierced by a metal fence. Miraculously, her life was saved by heart transplant. During her recovery she began to experience strange dreams, which led her to Japan looking for the donor of her heart.

It isn't pointless plot, it is central to the plot. The heart is causing her to change, and she wants to find out who this person was so she can figure out why she isn't the silent killer she used to be.

I finished watching "angel heart" before i even heard about City Hunter, and i had no problem understanding every aspect of it... I think it works perfectly as an independent series.

Of course, you get a deeper understanding when you have watched City Hunter... :)

For those of you who don't know Angel Heart is set in a alternate universe so it is NOT a sequel to City Hunter, meaning Kaori is still alive just in a parellel universe which City Hunter is based in. The creator Tsukasa Hojo said this, so while the characters share similarities to City Hunter they aren't the same.
