Trailer wiring can be confusing. It's best to start out right and keep everything to a standard. In this series we will cover simple running and tail lights and the wiring supplying them with electricity. Later we will get into more complicated wiring such as brakes and charging systems.

  • Great details

  • @Chudoitube Thanks. I try...

  • Great tips.

Liquid electrical tape is also good for keeping the connections water tight. I use it on my boat trailer.

If you don't have a multi-meter, a cheap LED marker light with the wires attached works good too!

  • @cheapswede Good idea on the liquid tape. Will be using the test lamp on the rear.

  • Thanks again for another helpful video on camper repair and restoration. I just went through this very electrical repair with a friends camper a few weeks back. It was difficult to convence him to run a new ground just as you did but after completing the new connection and all the lights were working he was one happy again. (1972 mobil scout)

  • @lonestarcats You're welcome. Yep that ground is the other end of the circuit and it's the most common problem in trailer wiring. Glad it worked out for your friend. Tell him go go push that Donate button on my website LOL!
