Baby snowboarder Emile 22 month

My (almost!! !) 2 years old brother Emile just had his first winter on a board.... He really ride a snowboard like I did when I was 2. We tested both...Some friends did too...Hey!! Kids, do not listen what they say in the French Alps, you can ride as young as it is possible to practice skiing..... Do not wait 7!!!!
At 7 you should rather do a enormous cab 360 back chicken salad.

T's nice to have comments like yours with interesting people.. You know, in France we are like extraterrestrials, classic skiing is THE rule.... So, Unfortunately in France it will be impossible to find an instructor...Pfff; DIY! So, fist do it with a person up and an other one down, let the small rider going straight!! Forget on icy snow!! Then when you feel her ready (and you!) ride with her, hands on hands face to face (see all the videos, his grd brother Eliot has some too).

MAD PROPS to Emile's parents and instructors!! we are getting ready to get our first daughter out on the slopes boarding this season 2011. She just turned 2 in August and we are so excited :) any tips and tricks for teaching such a young boarder? Mounting his bindings to your board so he can ride with you is BRILLIANT but I wouldn't be comfortable doing it myself LOL where did you get the yellow harness Emile is wearing in parts of this video?? Of course you have to ride both ways.... Like her... It will come fast!! Then, to ride tandem.... It's really incredible, the feeling is so great... Hearing your kid laughing all ride long is amazing! Take care, you have to be a very good rider to ride a tandem. The harness is one for climbing, I used it to be able to catch him easily and quick.... It's also good to have that to hold him on the chairs.... For the lift, it's funny 'cause he did it so fast!!!

I am a snowboard instructor, and I am 27 weeks pregnant. As early as my little guy can walk, I will let him feel what it is like to be on a snowboard. As long as you give the little ones more fun, then pressure, they will learn! Just like walking! Taught many myself, and can't wait to teach my own little boy! They can learn to stop and turn. Heck, I had a 4 year old doing rails and boxes, powder and steep terrain on his own last year! Waiting till you are 7 is just plain silly.
