Every now and then I have a pleasant surprise cross bench. This is one of them. Benjamin changes the landscape in the $200 +/- break barrel category with a gun that has incredible new features, like integrated rifle sling mounts and a weaver style scope mount.

  • Rick ..I'm using premier hollow points, it was all they had in .22... After shooting the gun for a few more days the accuracy is really coming around.. I can now put 5 shots in a dime at 15 yards and that was a challenge at first but now I'm consistently shooting these groups.I plan to try some different pellets when I find them....Im starting to notice the double vision with the scope if not adjusted perfectly but I can usually get around it. Also I find a good cleaning helps alot with accuracy

  • @silverjetta1

You are right about the cleaning. I found that my Trail needs the barrel cleaned, push a couple of dry patches down the bore, every 50 to 100 shots. Also, practice and patience makes a huge difference.

  • Hey Rick.

Would you say this is a better offer than the NP XL? Or is it the same gun only with less power?

  • @mortensatriale

I like it better than the XL. It is "better" in my book because it is easier to shoot and has a lot less recoil. Also, because it has less recoil, it should last longer than the XL.

    Cheers

  • Hey Rick . Brought the Np home yesterday, first thoughts are its not that quiet even after 250 pellets of break in...Accuracy is still coming.. mostly because of the trigger and harsh recoil which is alot harder than my 22 lr. Im noticing how hold sensitive it can be it affects the tradgectory dramatically which im not use too shooting mostly firearms all my life.. But I am happy with its power and Fit and Finish. Its amazing u were hitting groups like that at 20 and 50 yards with the stock gun

  • @silverjetta1

Yes.. that was a stock gun. What pellets are you using?
