@jstallings1337 hi... are you a cashier? if so come join our forum on facebook... Cashiers R Us.... its just a page for cashiers from everywhere to share their stories about work, share photos and videos as well. thanks!
all you cashiers out there... i created a forum on facebook... share your stories about work with us.. share photos or videos as well... Cashiers R Us on facebook.
I REALLLY hate when customers ignore you or interrupt you with a big fat NO lol the LEAST they can do is show a little respect and listen to you and THEN say no.
@angee2717 damn, that is a lot to keep repeating. my friend who works at macy's had to say something like, "Thank you for shopping at Macy's, i hope you have a LOVELY day!"
a lot of places will fire or minimize cashier's hours if they dont say certain catch phrases to EVERY SINGLE customer. if you dont like hearing it once, imagine how we feel saying it over and over and over. i used to work at sports authority and i had to ask every single customer "thank you for shopping at sports authority. did you have a highly satisfying shopping experience with us today?" ...if i didnt say it to everyone, my manager flipped shit.
I work as a cashier and I know you're supposed to ask this and that but this seems a bit overkill. As for the last lady who says "no thanks I think I'll donate it to my own children I couldn't tell you how many times people say that any time I am forced to ask for donations. It gets old.
I work at kmart and we are required to ask a lot of questions. They even threatened to fire their cashiers if they didn't hear us asking all the correct questions, so don't blame the cashier. At Kmart we are required to ask them if they have a rewards card, if they do not have one we have to explain the rewards card and ask if they wish to sign up for on. We also have to ask if they want to donate to St. Judes. And if any of their items have a replacement plan option, we ask if you want it.
@angee2717 oh man that must have been horrible
