@Inuyashatg98 LOL. Good ol Clarkson. They are built into the steering wheel in a few of the super cars also but not all. If you want to go fast you want something that shifts fast on demand. What does this mean? Auto sucks without control. Manual sucks without auto speed. Thus all high end have gone to the same thing. Simple as dat. For older "lesser" cars as ours I will always choose manual. Simply more control. I have the power when I want it and not when the computer thinks I should have it

@hotrodhendrix1 no i did not. and i hate those floppy panel gear boxes (as richard clarkson would say) on the camaro they are actually built into the steering wheel so if you need to change gears while turning its pretty hard.

of course Auto Transmissions shift better and more precisely than Manuals...they're computer controlled...i think the whole desire for manuals these days is for driver involvement,i think dual clutch autos beat traditional automatics with torque converters hands down.

Good video. All you commenters are newbs that think a manual is the only way you can drag race. Or race race. A reason very few cars very rarely come with manuals. Autos are consistent to the point of perfection. Many new Dual Clutches are even more efficient than manuals now.

@ThriftyCougar Again this will depend on the auto. Yes the big boys in drag racing use autos but these are far different than your average auto that comes in a car. For a street car you will need some upgrades to that auto to get any where near a decent driver in a manual. The big boys use autos to shift quicker not to control when they shift. ;)

@hotrodhendrix manuals have inconsistent shifts while a auto is perfect everytime althought in a track the manual probably would come out on top but in a line auto>manual
