This is home movie footage of Elvis in concert in Eugene, Oregon, Saturday, November 27, 1976. Sorry for the poor quality! Actual film looks better, so if anyone knows how to transfer film to video (the 'pulsing' of the lightness isn't in the actual film), let me know and I'll make this a little better. This is a silent film, obviously; audio is just added.

  • do you own this footage?

  • @p2m1p

    Hey there. Yes, I shot and own the footage.

  • Thank you for this. I was at one of the 2 Eugene shows, I don't know which. I was only 11 at the time. I wasn't old enough to understand that Elvis wasn't in good health. I remember loving the show, though, and I've been a life-long Elvis fan ever since.

    I hope you can find a good video person to clean up the film. I'd love to see a reamastered version...

  • Thanks for the kind words! I'll try at some point to do another transfer on this so it looks a little better. I think Elvis looked and sounded really good at this show. Also, there's a video on YouTube of Elvis live just a week or so after this, (much better footage) and he looks good. I think his weight fluctuated quite a bit in his last few years.

  • Where did u find this old film?

  • Thanks for asking. I shot it myself, November 27, 1976 with a Kodak Ektachrome camera. The actual Super 8 footage looks a little better than this does.

  • Nice memories im sure for you , its great to say you were at an Elvis concert and you shot this cool video, I saw Michael Jackson once in 1988 in Ireland but I would trade it to see Elvis in his prime.

  • Thanks for sharing the footage you shot. I was at this show and the one the night before in Portland. Great memories....Thanks again.

  • Everyone has an opinion of course.... they are like assholes as they say, BUT, there was never a person as good as Elvis , he simply could sing anything and sing it as good and generally better than anyone else. He actually sang and carried melodious notes something that has disappeared from the music world today. It is screaming and voice changing that seems to be the fad of the morns at large ! * Oh yes.... rap isn't music, it is the higiest form of garbage that exists.

  • Awesome.. thank you for posting this. I was at one of the two shows there in Eugene. I will have to look for my ticket stub. I almost positive it was this one. Thanks so much for posting it.. Do you have more footage of this concert?

  • i was from albany, oregon, and when news came out elvis was gonna be in the willamette vallery, tickets sold out quick. couldnt get em. my folks wouldnt buy one of them for me. i was 9 or 10. sigh.

  • Kinda confusing video title. Great footage bloodredvinyl

  • @bloodredvinyl I use Roxio to transfer VHS to hardrive or disc from camcorder so it could still work from cinni camera.

    If its possible to plug red white or black leads into the side of your camera Roxio is very easy to use if you purchase it in a shop all the leads and adaptors come with it as opposed to just downloading the software.

    Infact you would only need a space for the black as this is silent {red and white are sound}

  • This has got to have some value.

    Thanks for sharing it with us.
