Twang Darkly http://twangdarkly.com performs "To Morrow Mountain." Named after Morrow Mountain in North Carolina's little know Uwharrie Mountains.
Featuring Michael Futreal on the electric dulcimer (tuned DGC), Joel Boultinghouse on electric guitar, and Troy Messina on the drums.
@jcrdulci Thanks a lot! Yes, I love the drones too, and think of them in a similar fashion -- there's something primitive about them! Keep an eye for the new Twang Darkly album we're working on; I believe a studio recording of this one may be on there!

I LOVE the more dronal elements in this one! It gives the music a free-wheeling yet primitive sound. Your rhythms are always inspiring and in a great groove, and this one is no exception. Keep it coming!

@matthiax D-bass G-middle -C melody. I don't actually use double strings on the melody course, so my dulcimer has only 3 strings. It's pretty much the convention to write out tunings in bass-middle-melody order, and that's always the way I write them.
DGC is essentially a drop tuning from the more common DAD.

Was the dulcimer tuned DGCC or DDGC? As in, which one was the double strings (the ones one often plays a melody on)
