This video has Motown group The Supremes on the prime time ABC TV special "Rodgers & Hart Today" aired as a tribute to the songwriting duo Richard Rodgers and Lorenz Hart in 1966.

This performance inspired the creation and release of the album "The Supremes Sing Rodgers & Hart" that was released on May 22nd 1967. It was originally meant as a double album but was cut in half before release. All of the finished recordings slated for release on the double album were included on the 2002 Motown/Universal release "The Supremes Sing Rodgers & Hart: The Complete Recordings" that would also feature a live performance of the group singing "The Lady is a Tramp/Let's Get Away from It All" recorded at the Copacabana in May 1967.

  • I really don`t Care MeetTheSupremes, You know the rule, 1 Nasty Diana Ross Comment = 2 for Miss Mary, It's Time to give Credit where Credit is do, Miss Mary is not all that "Comfortable", what she has is due mostly the Reflected Glory of others

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear What are you trying to imply? What rule is this? You disrespect any Supreme from Florence to Susaye and I will not hesitate to take action. What is your problem? Why are you dedicating your life to hating on Mary? I don't think she needs you living up in her cooch.

  • Well Extra2000, Lets go back, for a Very Special

    MARY WILSON MOMENT (Flashback) 1982

"Diane", It's Mary, I destoyed "The Supremes" back in 1977, My man Left my Ass & I snorted all the Money up my Nose, Me & The Babies is Homeless, God Help me!, I needs to feed my Babies!, Pleeeze Give me a Handout to Buy a House & a Chin Implant, Pleeze, Pleeze, I'll write a Nasty Book about you, so I can pay you Back, I Promise!!!!

  • @TheReturnOfBigBear Please grow the fuck up. Really miss thang? You think spending endless hours bashing Mary is going to impact her comfortable life? What do you think it says about you?

  • The Supremes were classy ladies, unlike the more modern girl groups and female performers. It bugs me when Destiny's Child or like groups (TLC, En Vogue, etc) are compared to the girls. Even to compare Mariah Carey to the Supremes is blasphemous if you ask me. Diana, Mary, and Florence had it going on! They epitoomized true talent. They could and did perform what ever they wanted and have it come out right. Just listen to their harmonies!

  • Diana looked VERY skinny in this performance...Flo and Mary sings amazingly good

  • I've missed the supremes. I wish I could meet them all, but I'll settle for Diana and Mary.

  • Children, calm down. It's just great music and part of our cultural history! Suave!

  • THE BEST OF THE BEST.

    TOP OF THE HEAP.

    A CLASS OF THEIR OWN.

    TRUE CLASS.

    ULTIMATE STYLE.

  • This was THE CLASS ACT of the time and still to this day.

No other group could touch them.

They were and still are the gold standard.

  • thay where so awesome

  • listen to florence she sings so beautifully high.the supremes arenot diana ross the supremes were florences group.the supremes arenot mary wilson mary has done alot of work for the heart foundation.the supremes were not florence ballard although she brought them together.the supremes are three young girls who found each other and became apart of history.i was so taken with them because back then we never seen black women with so much class. we were still playing maids and hookers. thanx you

  • If people would turn their filters on before they started typing the bickering wouldn't get so bad. I, for one, have a mouth like a truck driver, but I'm not gonna curse out a Diana Ross fan because I love Florence Ballard. Think before u type....Oh yea, and big ups to TORRESONGS2 for the post below.........
