awesome clip showing the crystal clear water! i'm going up there again in the summer, with my kayak this time. is there a good spot to get into the water without carrying the kayak for too long ?

The closest put-in spot to these cliffs, and one recommended by a local kayaker, is at the end of Little Cove Road. The road is rough, and at the end it's fairly steep, and the beach is made of stones the size of softballs and soccerballs, so it's a little tricky carrying the kayak. But it's only 50 feet to the water, and it's a beautiful spot. Have fun!

From Cave Point to Tobermory's harbor boat ramp would be 9.7 mi(15.6 km), so how long the trip takes depends how fast you paddle! It also depends a lot on how closely you want to follow the shoreline, or if you are willing to cut across the larger coves. I didn't want to paddle 10 mi (20 mi round trip!) so instead of putting in at Tobermory I put in at Little Cove. From there to Cave Point is 6.2 mi (10 km) and so it took me about 2 hours of paddling at a leisurely but steady pace.
