Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Tips & Tactics for the New Guy

ONE MORE TIP: SPOT PEOPLE. I didn't cover it, but if you aim at someone and hit SELECT on PS3 or BACK on the 360, it lets your team mates know that he's there by putting a temporary orange marker above his head or vehicle. This is especially useful for engineers because it means all the engineers on your team can collaborate to destroy a tank or other vehicle.

Call of Duty player picking up BF3? New to the Battlefield series in general? Here are some BASIC tips to abide by in the new BF3 game in order for the learning curve to not be so damn steep. Hope this helps guys, I did similar videos for BFBC2 and MOH and got good feedback from them.

every guide i have found has made me a better team player BUT NOT A BETTER SINGULAR PLAYER! i am still going 6-30 i cant even get close to an objective to help this game sucks to me still :p

@lipman19 Basic tips should help you then. Stay in areas of the map where people aren't going to be waiting for you. Use the medic class so you can heal yourself. Use flanking routes. Burst fire, not full auto!

But if you think people that are unfamiliar with the BF series, whether it be COD players or not, should immediately fill the sniper role, you're crazy! That is typically the least useful of classes in terms of team play because those players tend to play that class for reasons other than team work.

And as far as playing with friends -- that'd be nice, but not always a possibility.
