How can you generate energy from movement or pressure? A simple piezoelectric disk (the kind that you use as a transducer/sounder) can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage. This short clip shows how an LED, soldered across the disks of a piezo, illuminates when the disk is tapped or pressed.
