Add a rectifier circuit and it lights up when you release the pressure as well. A small capacitor might hold the excess charge for a second. I wanna build a carpet made of this!

I am very happy to see the vidoe after you give this can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage.

I Love The Video This short clip shows how an LED, soldered across the disks of a piezo, illuminates when the disk is tapped or pressed It Can Increase My Knowledge

Steady I Really Like This Video can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage

Good, I like that you share this video can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage, I wish success always

Nice Video can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage That You Share , So Very Nice Thanks You

I Really Like The Video From Your can be used in reverse to generate a momentary voltage

Your Video Is Very Useful Sharing A simple piezoelectric disk

i dont know how many times i have said this and no one has done it still ,,wy not stack hundreds in a car exhaust or under the roads man you guys are missing out

Would you like to give a reference to this Piezo? It's because I found one inside of a buzzer, but apparently, it doesn't generate the same amount of energy, I'd like to know. Thank you.
How can i make the piezo vibrate using Voltage supply instead?

Hi.
The process works in reverse, so electrical pulses cause the piezo to flex. This is typically used to make a tone, by applying a pulsed signal (the frequency determines to tone/note).
I guess that this could be used to produce movement, but the flexing is very small on the disk piezos. You might get more by using piezo film, but I have never tried this. There are Electroactive Polymers (EAPs) under development that do this more effectively - rather like a muscle.
