  • @MrsZambezi you are right about the boiler. It's 24 kW. But my point remains: The ventilator blocks the flow of warm air behind the radiator (the chimney effect). My advise: If you have a poorly insulating outer wall then insulate behind the radiator with a radiator reflector.

  • @eerstekeer123 You must live in a doll's house if a 2.4kW boiler can heat it.

This device might save you installing a larger radiator, so could well be worth buying. Won't save fuel though.

  • We have two mk 3 boosters & all ready thermostat working at 1 click down from wot we normally run it on

  • Thanks for the review. The latest version is even better with a smarter look and more sophisticated thermostatic control.

  • This is not a test but a product presentation. You state one radiator gives kiloWatts, but that's inpossible, because a home boiler produces max. 2,4kW to heat the total house.

The ventiator moves some air, but blocks the flow of warm air from behind the radiator.

I would propose to everyone radiator insulation with an aluminium coated sheet. That will work for years.

  • so whats must efficent the booster or the foil back idea

  • It's a real shame that this won't work on a curved rad. I'll have to opt for a heat reflector instead.

  • great informative review.

  • This Radiator Booster is a great environmentally friendly product. This Zap Carbon review is a great demonstration on how the Radiator Booster actually works. Official stockists of the Radiator Booster can be found at Claires Eco Store where they have a PINK version for sale also!! The Radiator Booster Mk2 version includes an automatic thermostat control that switches on at 32°C.
