  • I saw him several times relatively late in his career - and he was still remarkable into his 60s ... his manrico and otello were both magnificent!

  • Thanks for introducing me to this excellent tenor.

  • " Reasonably make the case"?!! He was by far the greatest English tenor....of ANY century!

  • i didn´t know Mr.Craig before. Myself I m a High Lyric Tenor. From now on I m a Big Fan of his great Art. I will study him.

  • He was the finest British tenor of the 20th century. the likes of denis O'Neil cannot hold a candle to this man. This is singing of the highest level, and, shows that English can be sung well, unlike at present at the ENO.

  • He was a glorious lyric tenor

  • Absolutely wonderful singing from this English tenor who was much underrated in his own country!

  • One could reasonably make the case that Charles Craig was the finest ENGLISH tenor of the 20th Century. His voice had a clarion quality as opposed to the somewhat jejune production of his counterparts. Thanks for posting this rarity. I wish he had recorded more frequently. Five stars!
