camera has the threaded hole in it ,so the tripod needs to have a threaded screw on it.

hey man ive had a zi8 a while, where could i get a boom mic at? and about how much do they cost?

@LClarkeProductions - I have had this awhile now-I bought mine new on ebay-you will have to check prices ,I think mine was $100.00 but I can't remember it just has to fit the plug on the zi8 you might find a cheaper one that works as good- check reviews.
