It's taken me decades to find this song again. The first time I heard it was on FM in the mid seventies, heard it a few more times and thought if was Country Joe and the Fish. What a great song!

This song was suppose to be about the mystery hitchiker out west that was suppose to look like J.C. in a white robe, then Poof , he would be gone from the vehicle !
It was one of those Urban Legends !
