Sen. Barack Obama, the Democratic presidential nominee, brought up lipstick on Tuesday in comparing the policies of McCain, his Republican rival for the White House, to those of President Bush. (Sept. 10)

I agree with you in theory, but saying things like this ties the pig comment to Palin even more, which is NOT what Obama was doing. We all need to watch our mouths carefully (including Obama) or the Republicans are going to continue to twist innocent comments into an attack.

Himechansexytightass: He wasn't talking about Palin. He was just using it as a metaphor for trying to make something ugly look good.
But people in their lack of ability to understand things go, "lipstick" ... "who has lipstick? Palin does! So he must be talking about Palin!"
Obama wouldn't trash-talk a political opponent like that. And we'll let his own statement confirm what I said, that the metaphor wasn't referring to Palin.
