  • ...... Jack Russells are English dogs, not Irish.

  • ...but yes, Jack Russell Terriers did originate in England.

  • @BoltLovee

I think the term "Irish jack russell" is being used to sell obvious crossbred mutts and terriers with many faults, long snippy heads, round or bulging eyes? bent legs, strange ear's, etc., some are not even predominantly white, if people think all the JRT in Ireland looks anything like this your mistaken, we compete and win with the best terriers in England.

  • @hetrodoxly

By no means was I implying that *all* JRTs in Ireland look like this. Irish JRTs are Jacks that descended from the Parson Jacks, but were bred as farm and companion dogs rather than hunting dogs.

I don't feel much need to continue on this topic.

  • Hey! that dogs looks sad like mines. my JRT have that sad eyes too,and it scary me,cuz he have 3years and looks like a 10 years old dog. But when i say "go ride?" he starts to jump and the JRT soul bring back. haha. By the way, nice buddy!

  • I think this is the coolest dog, and great pictures and song.

We just lost our Jack Russel back in April, his name was "JACK".

    He was my little Buddy!!

Thanks for a great video that makes people smile!!!

  • Irish Jack Russell Terriers were bred in Ireland...

  • Then why's the title "My Irish Jack Russell"?

  • Geographically, Ireland is next to England. The Irish Jack Russell is a recognized sub-breed that most likely was moved from England into Ireland and bred there.
