The Irish Design Shop has been established in Sydney's historical Rocks area for 20 years. Over that time it has been an important part of the sale and representation of Ireland, its traditions and people of Celtic culture.

In the rear courtyard of the Irish Design Shop lies The Rocks' best kept secret, "Tara Tea Rooms"; A traditional tea house, serving soul-warming snacks, imported Irish teas and coffees. In our 130 year old heritage listed building.

We specialise in "Devonshire tea" (scones and tea or coffee), and bake all our scones fresh on premises daily. Our scones are light and delicious and available in different flavours. They are served warm with real double thick cream and jams. They are perfect with a cup of Barrys Irish tea, served loose in a pot with a green tea cosy.
